MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with copyediting of the various promotional materials defined above.
Assist with development of creative concepts and marketing strategies for promoting the work of KIDCITY and securing donations from doners.
Coordinating with graphic design intern to translate create concepts into print, online and other collateral materials.
Develop contents for promotional materials including direct mail pieces, print and electronic newsletter, website and social media stories, medial releases and other materials as needed.
Update and maintain KIDCITY’s social media presence, including scheduling Facebook updates.
Organize and attend monthly marketing committee meeting including preparing and distributing agenda and taking minutes.
Collaborating with staff and volunteers on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.
An effective communicator, both written and oral
Completed or working toward a degree, preferably in a related field (eg. English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations), but not required.
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in social media space
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus.
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel)
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Knowledge of HTML and graph design a plus.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Requires 3-6 months commitment
Hours: 8-12hours/week, preferably twice a week in the office. Up to 4 hours can be completed at home.
